Terrain Park Safety Education Program

This safety program is suggested for users of any terrain parks or features at Wachusett or anywhere. However, with the incredible popularity of the features in the Look Mom Terrain Park, Wachusett has implemented a Terrain Park Safety Education Program in which a Park Pass must be worn/shown upon entering the park. This policy is designed to provide a safer environment for all riders and skiers in the alpine park.

The policy includes 5 basics.  All park riders and skiers must:

1. Watch a "Smart Style Safety Education Video" which is available at the top of "Look Mom" trail, at the park start or online- Part I   Part II

2.    Take Test- Print and bring to any Ticket Window or Customer Service Desk   and pay a one-time/season $5 Park Pass fee. Pass must be renewed each season. If you view the movie on the hill,  take the test and sign the waiver directly at the park.

3.
Sign a registration form indicating you have seen the new video and that you understand it is your responsibility to be safe in the park and on the trails.  (Page 2 of the Test)

4.
Receive and show when entering the park a "Park Pass" Card indicating you have completed the safety education program.

5. Wear a helmet.

New this season:  All park pass purchaser's who do not own a helmet will receive a $5.00 coupon good for $5.00 off the rental or purchase of a new helmet at Mountainside Ski & Sports Shop!

Skiers and riders who do not complete the Smart Style Education program may use the smaller terrain park features located on Frannie's Folly, and Sundowner trails and in other locations around the mountain. The park pass was introduced in response to customers' requests. Our goal is to increase safety by limiting access to the terrain park to those skiers and riders who have the skill necessary to safely navigate the park and its features. You must renew your pass each season.
