Senior Skiers

The Wachusett Old Time Skiers (WOTS) Club is a great way for seniors to enjoy the slopes!  More than 500 skiers age 55 and up continue to give new meaning to the phrase "over the hill."  Members include both experienced and competitive skiers and folks who just want to get out and ski.  To join WOTS, contact Bruce McDonald at 978-464-3105 or email your name and address.

Mason Flagg of Worcester is the founder and "gangleader" of the group. He has held that honorary position since he started the group in 1987. Flagg and other members of WOTS began skiing at Wachusett in the 1930s and 1940s, before the ski area was established. Then a day on the slopes could mean a radical descent off the powerlines. Not a chairlift in sight.
