Cider House 5k

The Race Course:

The race will start from the VIP parking lot at the back of the Rentals building, head around the front of the base lodge, around the pond and then up the side of Sundowner Ski Trail (dirt road) to balance Rock Road, where competitors will take a right, passing by Bullock Lodge Cider House and crossing a few of Wachusett's ski trails (all on dirt/rocky/gravel fire road). Runners and walkers will continue on Balance Rock Road until it intersects with Old Indian Trail on the left. Participants will take Old Indian Trail up to the split with Semuhenna Trail and take Semuhenna Trail to the right. Semuhenna will intersect with the summit road and participants will head right or about 20 yards before taking a second right on to North Road (fire road). Follow North Road until it meets Balance Rock Road and take a right. Follow Balance Rock Road until it meets up with Balance Rock Trail and take a left on to Balance Rock Trail. Follow Balance Rock Trail to the end, coming out on the cat road, into the parking lot and under the Polar Arch to the finish line. See below for a map of the course.

Award Categories (runners only): Top Male and Female Overall / Top 2 Male & Female in the following age Groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Awards:

Top Male/Female - $25 COW Card, Designer Cider Jug (filled with Cider) and Apple Pie from Red Apple Farm

1st Place Age Group - $10 COW Card, Designer Cider Jug (filled with Cider) and Apple Pie from Red Apple Farm

2nd Place Age Group - $5 COW Card, 1/2 Dozen Cider Donuts from Red Apple Farm

Race Fee: $20 ($25 race day)
