AppleFest Hike

The ultimate Fall in New England experience! Start the afternoon with a guided hike of Wachusett Mountain and relax the rest of the afternoon at the second weekend of AppleFest.

The Route

Begin your hike by checking in at the front of Wachusett Mountain Lodge. We’ll follow the historic Balance Rock Trail up to Old Indian Trail, a shaded path with gorgeous views of the Fall foliage and some great hawk watching opportunities. The hike ends at the summit of the mountain. On a clear day the panoramic view stretches from the Berkshires to the Boston skyline! After you’ve taken in the view, enjoy a calm and scenic ride down the mountain on our Skyride.

Please note, the route to the summit is a moderate hike that includes some steep stretches and slippery rocks. We recommend bringing a bottle of water, and wearing adequate footwear and layered clothing.

Estimated AppleFest Entry: 2:30pm

Adult entry includes ages 13 and over. Juniors are ages 6 – 12. Children 5 and under get free entry.
